Caley Thistle P v P Celtic, Scottish Cup - 02/04/11
report from MC and photos from Doo-Da
Celtic bhoys met up at Skins for the arrival of the Blargoans bus at 0830.
Off we set with Ian 'Insurance Man' Mackay taking charge with his able-bodied side-kick Peter 'Provo' McDougall. Making up the numbers this time were Martin 'its my bus' Nicolson, Seany 'i get pished too easily these days' Maclean, Zippy 'I love KeIRA' Drummond, Finlay 'I'm missing Willie Cat' Rutherford, Stevie 'Head Kinger' King, Michael 'Chief Beadrattler' Campbell, Mark 'I've still got a sore back' Jamieson, Kieran 'the ra' Campbell, Darren 'I love Enrique' Oag, Michael 'I love Fiona' King and Alan 'I love John Munro' Munro.
Once again it was off doon the A9, with at least half the bus suffering from the night before having been oot in the Weigh Inn listening to some tremendous music by Charlie and the Bhoys.
Even the rain rattling off the window as per usual didn't dampen the spirits or stop Machineguns Oag from giving us all a chorus from Enriques latest album!
Tickets were required for Charlie 'Davey's Father' Swanson who was meant to be shopping with Cath but decided that it would be better watching Celtic.
All was going well with the usual P stops and traditional music being played, until we approached Alness when the Zippy, with a hot-line to Caley Stadium, got the bad news that the pitch was water-logged and game off!!! (the quicker Caley are back in the north reserve the better!!!)
Pulling in at Morrisons, Alness only for Peter 'Provo' to wolf-whistle at a young dilly who was only trying to pay for her petrol!
Refuelling duties over it was back up the A9 and a refreshment stop in Helmsdale was required by all.
Poor Seany will never be the same after discovering that even e Helmies are prone to homo activities!!!!!!!! As if that wasna bad enough the age for drinking in the sleepy toon is around 2!!!
Off again up the A9, destination Top Joes.
Mr Chairman Campbell was not allowed to frequent TJ's due to babysitting duties, but at least this time he managed to take all his belongings off the bus including his child!!!!
A truly forgettable day was made all the better by the telly-printer on Sky Sports News pinging up the darkside 2, Dunderdee United 3!!!!!
Kirean 'will I ever get to see a Celtic v Caley match' is still running around e hoose like a headless chicken singing - I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!!!!
