

Caithness Cross Country - Caithness - Season 2006 - 2007

The far north threw the best of the weather at the Caithness athletes when they took part in their local Cross Country Championships at Pennyland Farm, Thurso. Despite the rain, 48 athletes took part in a variety of courses from 800m to 6 miles long.
The course was well received by the athletes although the parents may have had a different opinion when the muddy athletes returned home complete with muddy kit.
There was an excellent turn out of parents to cheer on the athletes and marshals were also in abundance to encourage and direct the athletes as they negotiated the various courses.
