Highlands, Islands and Grampian Regional Indoor Track and Field Championships, Aberdeen - 12/12/2009

The Highlands, Islands and Grampian Regional Indoor Track and Field Championships were held last Saturday at Aberdeen's new indoor sports facility.

Liam MacAdie was the only CAAC athlete to make the journey and at his first indoor competition took the Gold medal in the U15 boys 60m sprint. He finished in first place in the earlier heats with a PB of 8 seconds, and went on to win the final with a time of 8.1 seconds.

He also took part in the shot putt, taking the Bronze medal with a new PB of 8.48m.

This was two solid performances from Liam and gives an early indication that his hard work at training is paying off.
