Scottish Women's Athletic League, Aberdeen - 30/08/2009

Emma Dunnett landed her latest victory running in the Scottish Women's Athletic League fixture in Aberdeen. Emma, running for Edinburgh AC recorded a time of 5.00.25min to win the Under 15 girls 1500m. After two and a half months off competition the performance was well received by the Aberdeen crowd using the newly opened Sports Village which surrounds the track.

Oonagh Dunnett was also competing in the same event and running for the composite Lothian team, Oonagh finished 4th A string in a time of 5.21.00min. This again was a solid performance as the twins, like many endurance athletes are now turning their training focus to cross country and therefore compromising speed for endurance.

The first cross country fixture in the north for CAAC athletes is in Fortwilliam on the 3rd October whilst Emma and Oonagh who will be competing in the East Leagues have to wait a further week to get into the cross country season.
