North District Cross Country Relay, Dornoch - 10/10/2009

At the North District Championships in Dornoch, Caithness AAC had 5 teams of runners entered and thanks has to go to Craig Wares and Shannon Eyers especially who do not frequent cross country but answered the call for additional runners to allow full teams to compete.

The teams of three runners all completed the same 2.5k flat course around Camore Woods with the first leg run by an Under 13 runner, 2nd leg by an Under 13 or Under 15 and the 3rd leg by an Under 15 or Under 17. The CAAC teams supported by parents and coaches all ran good legs on what was a fast course with the girls and boys 'A' teams placing highest in 5th place each.

The CAAC 'B' girls team came home in 9th pace and the 'C' team in 10th place out of 12 teams and the CAAC 'B' boys teams was 10th out of 11 teams. The fastest individual time by Caithness athletes went to Sarah McKinnon with 11.42min and Jake Anderson with 9.52min.
