

Cross Country, Fort William - 30/10/10
The first cross country league of the season had a good Caithness turnout with 18 athletes representing the club.
In the under 11 Girls Gabriel MacGregor finished a fantastic 4th. Kaitlin Reid in her first competition found the going very challenging and did not finish.
The Under 11 boys had 3 athletes; Stuart Kirk was 9th, Alexander MacLeod was 12th and Lachlan Jardine-Munro was 18th with the boys finishing as fourth team on the day.
The under 13 girls had two representatives; Rhiannon Kirk finished 8th and a single shoed Rhianna Urquhart finished 24th.
The Under 13 Boys also had 2 members on the day with Mark O'Brien finishing 10th and Daniel Kirk 19th - as they have another year in this age group they did well.
The under 15 and 17 girls ran together with Sarah Mackinnon finishing 13th, Sarah Henderson 17th, Isobel MacLeod 19th, Lauren Lafferty 21st and Martha Garbe 22nd on the day. Keana Jardine who has only just recently returned to athletics in the last couple of weeks found the course a bit tough and failed to finish.
Dean Britton was the only under 15 Boy in the Caithness team but he finished an admirable 10th.
In the Under 17 men's competition the performer of the day was Rob Murdoch with a fantastic 3rd place. Andrew Nicolson was 10th.
