Ronnie Ratter Retires - Seeason 2000-2001

After a good number of years playing badminton with Dunnet and Caithness, Ronnie has finally decided to call it a day and hang up his racket and shuttlecocks.

Always a very competitive player, no matter the opposition, he always gave his all and never really liked to lose. Usually, partnered by his wife, Isobel, in club games - the two of them knew exactly where each other would be positioned and managed to play well as a team - but I'm sure they've had the odd argument and finger pointing on court and, afterwards gone home for a cup of tea, analysed what went wrong and discussed how they can improve for the next game.

Having two sons, one that used to play badminton and the other a Scottish Internationalist - some of his talents must of rubbed off on the pair in some way. Infact, with a couple of drams in you will here him say, "a taught 'at boys all they know".

Although he has said he is finished, I'm sure if any of the teams are short the cobwebs will come off the racket and he will help them out.

Anyway Ronnie, never mind all the hassles within CBA - just lie back and fill your boots.......
