County Open - Season 2004-2005 - 29/01/05
Sam on form for 3 titles
A good contingent of competitors travelled to Thurso Games Hall to take part in the first CBA tournament of 2005. The County Open is how it sounds and all players, veteran, senior or junior can enter and pit their wits against each other.
Sam Campbell, one of the more experienced players in the county, was unstoppable on the day and managed to lift the singles, mens doubles with fellow Wick partner, John Durrand and the mixed doubles with county partner, Casey Sangster.
Carole Mowat strolled to win the Ladies Singles and her long time Ladies Doubles partner, Casey aided her to allow both girlieeees a double, on the day.
Tournament organiser, Carole Mowat mentioned that the event was a complete success and was delighted with the variety of skills, experience, varied ages taking part and giving their all for the county badminton cause.
eBiGH web developer, Daisy - would like to thank Carole for her continued support by taking pictures when not available.
