Treble Winner - Carole Mowat

Carole Mowat managed to lift the three possible trophies and John Durrand was just at her back lifting two at the competition held in Wick Games Hall.

A round robin contest was held in both the Ladies Singles & Doubles. In the singles Carole's toughest competitor was Jane Grant, who eventually went on to lift the runners-up trophy and in doubles Casey Sangster partnered, Carole to defeat Jane and Pam Bain in a tussle that went close.

John Durrand and Sam Campbell served up an epic battle in the final of the Men's Singles final. The older statesman Sam secured the first set but that was as far as John allowed him to travel as he grabbed the second and after a foray of rally's and close net shots, the younger apprentice lifted the trophy.

The Men's Doubles competition provided no surprises with the experienced partnership of Sam Campbell and John Durrand powering past the ever increasing pairing of Ian Nicolson and Benji Mackay.

The Mixed Doubles competition, probably, provided the upset of the day. At the beginning of the tournament the odds would've been on Casey Sangster and Sam Campbell to walk away with the spoils but Carole and her young partner, Stephen Hill, who seems to perform well under the teachers spell for some reason, got to grips against the holders of the trophy and played the match of their lives to outplay the older pairing, allowing Carole to secure her treble success.
