Thurso Games Hall was the venue for the annual Shetland Inter-County match.

Shetland were hit by the last minute call-off of Sarah Grogan through ill health. That meant the Islanders had to scratch from one level doubles, while team mate Vealia Haugh was allowed to take Grogan's place in the mixed. The Caithness ladies won the two matches played, though Carole Mowat & Casey Sangster and Jill Gunn & Michelle Cowie were taken the full distance.

Shetland edged the men's doubles 2-1 but the home side secured victory by taking the mixed 4-2.

The clincher came at third mixed, which proved the best tussle of the evening.

James Henderson and Jill Gunn took the first versus Graeme Keith and Tammi Shields only to be pegged back in the second. The decider was another very close affair, with both pairs having good spells, but Henderson and Gunn held their nerve to squeeze home 15-13.
