A suitable amount of competitors arrived in Wick Games Hall for the first CBA American Tournament of the season.

With the contrast of one pairing, Sam Campbell and Jane Grant, having an average age of 50 and their competitors having a total age of close to 50, this was a duel of experience and know-how versus speed and agility.

Following a serious of long rallies, excellent recoveries and tight net play it was the older partnership that finally just sneaked the plaudits with a 24-22 tie break win.
