As CBA League secretary, this was something I had been secretly waiting in anticipation for since this clubs inclusion in the league (season 2004-2005) and will bolster their beliefs and talents for the future.

Latheron Badminton Club, majorly, began as an in-experienced team that were delighted to use the new facilities provided in their village, be part of the Caithness Badminton scene and increase their knowledge of the game.  But, as the years have gone by, original and knew players continued taking part and their rapid improvement was becoming noticeable throughout the county clubs.

Therefore, it was on Wednesday, 27th of February 2008 at 9.46pm versus Dunnet - that Latheron managed to secure their first win in the CBA League by 5 sets to 3, in a tight match.

So finally, I would like to take this opportunity, to congratulate this village side for continuing in the CBA league, playing well as a team, their hospitality and always appearing for matches with a smile on their faces.

I hope, Latheron and Dunnet, do not feel offended by this short report but I feel it is something that should be given merit and marked down in the Archives.
