Little Ninja, Ian Gorn - Xmas Ba' Winner

For 90% of the year Orkney's ex feather duster (badminton player) spends his time in the high life of St Andrews and Dalgety Bay mixing it with the Royals and fancy free but, come Christmas and New Year, it's a return to his homeland and into 'mutant-ninja-gladiator' mode for the hustle and bustle of one of the toughest sporting events, known as the Orkney Ba'.

If we have to give him a Ninja name, it would have to be 'Gornibsio' and yes, that shall be your new name...!!!  Anyway, I digress...

The previous season one of Gornibsio's great mates, Stuart 'Fox' Slater picked up a Ba' and it was constantly on his mind and dreams to cherish this prized possession before it was too late to participate.

After just over 5 hours hard graft, uncompromising positions and a few audacious breaks from the pack the Uppies won the Xmas Ba' and 'Gornibsio' was named the winner after a 25 minute debate, much to his joy and satisfaction.

Congratulations, Nibs and may this Ba' bring happiness, delight and wealth to your life!

As this is the second year in-a-row an Orkney Badminton player has lifted the title, who will be next in the camp of hopefuls?

Note - Fox and Marty have won it already and I don't think you can win it again.
