Highland Restricted Tournament - Season 2008-2009 - 28/02/09

  • This event was CANCELLED in 2009-2010 but see below for the 2008-2009 results & photo.

This popular event was amended from Dingwall to Inverness and was no longer a two day event, with the organisers deciding to utilise the 8 court venue and complete the Highland Restricted tournament in one day.

Overall, most trophies returned up the A9 to Caithness with Mark Mackay completing the treble and the Ladies' Singles title remaining in the South with Angela Bell.

Mark pipped the rest of the players in the Mens' Singles, Mens' Doubles with partner Martyn Cook and Mixed Doubles with touring partner, Casey Sangster.

The 'Live Forever' partnership of Casey Sangster and Carole Mowat took home the Ladies' Doubles title - giving Casey a worthy double success in the capital of the Highlands.

Although a tiring day was had by all, the reaction of a one day event proved popular in the Caithness camp.

Well done to the organisers and hope the event continues to flourish.
