KT Sports Intersport Orkney Open, Kirkwall - Season 2011-2012 - 04&05/11/11

Due to the usual venue, Kirkwall Grammar being demolished and replaced by a brand new school, Stromness was the chosen location for this seasons KT Intersport Open. A lot handier for catching the early boat home in the morning (literally, a couple of 'cock-strides' from hotel to boat) after a frantic night of celebrations...??? Or was it???

In badminton terms, the event was dominated by Mark and Shona Mackay with both managing to win the treble in the company of their associated partners against competitors from various areas of Scotland.

A belated 'Hen doo/wedding celebration' added a bit of extra colour and excitement to the end of night party for Carly Mo Begg after her recent disappearance to the 'Islands of the World' to seal her marriage to Darren Begg.
