Our run in the Scottish Amateur Cup came to a sad end in Perth as we fell to a heavy defeat.

Despite being short on numbers, we put up a spirited display in the first half but were unable to take many of the chances created, while the home were very clinical in front of goal.

We went 3-0 behind just after the half hour mark but did get one back before the break when a good ball by Rusty released Muttley who scored with a neat finish.

Kitten

The second half was a complete disaster and no-one in a red and black shirt earned pass marks.

We conceded again quite early in the second half and around the hour mark Duck was adjudged to have fouled an opponent in the box and they converted the penalty.

Vegas was then shown a red card for dissent as a poor performance from the ref got even worse and he started to lose control of the game.

We were able to get another couple of goals, though - with good finishes from Kitten and Spike.

Letham were also able to score again to increase their lead and secure a deserved victory.

Spike

A poor performance really but we were up against it due to the shortage of personnel.

The cup run has been enjoyable and given us a couple of good away trips to Aberdeen and Perth.

A few weeks rest now before getting stuck into what should be an intense pre-season training programme!!!!!
