Probably our most disappointing performance for quite some time as we missed a great chance to reach our first County Cup Final for almost 12 years.

The first half saw many underperformers and frustration set in as we were second best all over the pitch.

Despite being so poor, we were only one down by one at the break and after some stern words were hopeful we could get back into it.

Unfortunately, we conceded a second goal not long after the re-start which left us with a mountain to climb.

We did pull one back, when a free kick caused some confusion in their box and Mikey forced the ball over the line.

Staxigoe were always looking the more likely but we missed a great opportunity to get back level when Charlie fired a loose ball over the bar from close range.

That was our last real chance and the home side ran out comfortable and deserved winners.

A very poor performance and extremely disappointing result for all concerned with Halkirk Football Club.

County Cup Semi-Final's haven't come around too often for our club and to perform in the manner in which we did was absolutely devastating and somewhat embarrassing.

All we can do is hope that this serves as a wake-up call to a lot of folk as this club needs to be playing Cup Finals and winning trophies!!
