A vital win for 'H' as we secure our 1st Division status on a night with a few twists and turns.

A day of rain lead to a pitch inspection at 5pm and the game only got the go-ahead then, although by kick-off the pitch was in great condition.

We started the game quite well and took an early lead when Charlie found the back of the net with a cross-come-shot.

The remainder of the first half was quite even, although we were perhaps a bit fortunate to still be in the lead at half time.

The visitors were much the better side in the second half and it seemed it was only really a matter of time before they equalised.

Sure enough they did and then went on to take the lead quite soon afterwards.

Having heard a scoreline elsewhere we thought that we were in the relegation play-off spot with just ten minutes of the season remaining and needed to get an equaliser and then a winner.

We got back level when their keeper failed to hold a shot from Bainer and Charlie was first to react to fire the rebound past the keeper.

Our tails were up now and were able to get the winner to ensure our safety with a couple of minutes remaining.

A cross to the back post was met by Gav B and his diving header beat the keeper but not Charlie who nipped in to force the ball over the line to make sure it was in and also secure his hat-trick.

A vital win for us to make sure we remain in the first division for next season.

Having been in the play-off spot with ten minutes of the season remaining, we actually finished in fourth place in the table.
