It's back to winning ways for The Wildcat's as we claim 3 points at the Dammies in a game which should have seen us win more convincingly.

Charlie and Richard returned to the starting eleven and were very influential in a first half in which we dominated, as the Swifties struggled to cope with Richard's direct running and Charlie's wicked deliveries from corner kicks.

It was from one of these corners that we took the lead, when Gunny rose highest to flick on a header that hit the post before crossing the line.

We almost doubled the advantage soon after from another corner that was helped on to the back post but Richard somehow managed to hit the bar from point blank range.

We went close a few more times but were only one goal up at the break.

On the whole, the second half was terrible as we failed to play any sort of football and continued to surrender possession far too easily.

We did have chances to get a second goal that would've killed the game. Most notably, when Charlie was denied by a fine save that tipped his shot on to the bar after good build-up play between him and Crouchy.

Charles then played in Butch for a straight run in on goal but he seemed to panic, took the shot on too early and didn't really test the keeper.

Despite conceding a fair amount of possession, we were rarely under pressure as the home side seldom threatened Pies and we held on for the win.

Very much the proverbial game of two halves as we went from playing really well in the first half, to being absolutely shocking in the second 45.

The positives we can take, is that it was another clean sheet on the road and another 3 points on the board. That's pretty much about it though and we're going to have to improve dramatically when we play Wick Thistle in the HA Cup on Saturday.
