Halkirk United getting ready for tough Cup Final task

--- Anglers ---

This year's MSIS North Caley League top two lock horns in Muir of Ord tomorrow in the final of the SWL Cup.

Halkirk United and Golspie Sutherland have each lost just twice so far this season - one to each other - and the pair are poised to capture just about all the silverware.

With the Port Services Cup already won, the Anglers are greedy for more success and go into tomorrow's clash looking to extend a run of 10 wins in league and cup action.

Manager Ian MacDonald is hoping the Muir of Ord pitch will be in better shape than when his side played there in the semi a fortnight ago.

He said: The reports I heard about the game there last Saturday were not good. It cut up badly and we're just hoping it's going to have recovered for the final. Michael Bremner remains on the injury list and flu victim Alan Sinclair, who missed Saturday's 5-2 win over Thurso, may also be forced to miss out.

Winger Chris Sutherland is a doubt as a result of a hamstring injury he picked up on Saturday while a lower back muscle strain prevented midfielder Gavin Henderson training this week.
