Halkirk United will have their busiest ever MSIS North Caley season if they progress to the finals of the remaining two cups.

Combined with their six outstanding league fixtures, that would see them playing into the start of May.

Clashes with the Caithness summer season loom as the price of success for Ian MacDonald's outfit.

Having finished victors and runners-up in the finals of the two cups already played, they tomorrow chase a semi-final place in the Jock Mackay Cup.

A frozen pitch at Bonar Bridge scuppered the tie scheduled for last Saturday and the chances of the game being given the go-ahead tomorrow are in the balance.

The postponement at least gives the Anglers' extensive casualty list a chance to clear.
