Halkirk United FC - Reports, Results & Photos - Season 2008-2009
Latest Round-up - 29/04/09
Final Cup match of the season

Halkirk United will seek to add lustre to an already successful season when they face off against Golspie Sutherland in the final of the Football Times Cup.
The pair have monopolised the North Caley silverware this season and go into the match at Recreation Park with two wins a piece in the four clashes between them.
The Sutherland outfit comfortably retained their league title and emerged 3-1 victors in the SWL Cup final over the Anglers.
United claimed the other two trophies, the Port Services Cup and the Jock Mackay Memorial Cup as well as finishing clear runner-ups in the league.
United manager Ian MacDonald is hoping tomorrow's North Caley finale against their main rivals will lift his side to mount one last big effort.
He has sensed a flatness descending on his side since the onset of the county league season.
I think some of the guys have already their summer season heads on and I've noticed the difference in their sharpness since we stopped training twice a week. Hopefully, the challenge of Golspie will inspire them to make a real go of it so we can finish the season on a high.
MacDonald watched his side recover from a sluggish opening to stroll through their semi on Saturday with a 7-0 thrashing of Muir of Ord Rovers.
United should tomorrow be close to full strength for the tie with defender Colin Sinclair back from suspension and the versatile Graham MacDonald available again.
Both are set to start with the injured Stuart Florence the only regular to miss out through injury. The game has a 3 p.m. kick-off.
Golspie required extra-time before seeing off Bunillidh Thistle in the other semi at Helmsdale.
Golspie, who were weakened because of players on summer league duty, fell behind to an early Paul Gordon strike which separated the sides at the interval.
Shane Sutherland levelled midway through the second half and the winger popped up to grab what proved the decider seven minutes into extra-time.
Bonar Bridge edged out Thurso for fifth place in the MSIS North Caley League when they battled to a 3-3 draw in their final fixture at home to Golspie.
Bruce Mackay gave them a dream start after he fired them into a first minute lead.
Golspie proceeded to rattle in three through David Taylor, Robbie MacDougall and Tommy Campbell before Liam Rostock got one back before the interval.
Liam Rostock bagged the equaliser with 20 minutes left.
