After a great run in the North of Scotland cup and taking the scalps from a number of Highland League sides, Halkirk United's cup adventure came to an end against favourites, Inverness Caley Thistle.

A gutsy performance was put in by the Anglers and, with a bit of luck and dismissing a few fine saves late on from the Caley keeper, this match could've easily slipped into a penalty shoot out.

Overall, the city side had a higher percentage of pressure and were always looking to extend their first half lead but a stern defence halted them from any further scoring.

Once again, Halkirk keeper, Graeme Williamson produced some fine saves to keep his side in the match and picked up the man of the match trophy.
