Halkirk United 1 - 1 Clachnacuddin (Halkirk win 3-2 on penalties)

After a tough win against Wick Academy there was no stopping the Anglers against their next Highland League side, Clach.

Halkirk took the lead early in the first half and had chances to extend their advantage but the Inverness side began to look sharp and started to put their own tag on the game.

Following the half time break, Halkirk decided to adopt a more defensive roll and soak up the pressure.

Unfortunately, after a number of chances, a mistake in defence gifted Clach a penalty - which they calmly slotted away to take the match onto penalties.

Tension mounted in both sides and after a couple of excellent saves from the Halkirk keeper, the last penalty was slotted away to take the Anglers on to a dream tie against Scottish Premier side, Inverness Caley Thistle.
