Soutar beats the footballers

Graeme Reid and Donald Sutherland featured in this tournament sponsored by Highland Travel Inns with the former making up a football duo with Terry Mackay and teaming up effectively for a nett 60 for second place.

Sutherland was in superb form over the first nine holes, which he covered in par for an outward nett 30, but his partner Gavin Souter showed he was no passenger as he scored at most of the holes on the way which they covered in nett 28 to win by two shots from the footballers.
