Hall of Fame Tournament - 14 May 06
Pee-Wee wins another trophy

The Hall of Fame Golf Championship is in aid of Cancer Research UK with the Regional Qualifier to be played in August to September at a venue to be confirmed and the Final over two courses being Scotscraig near St.Andrews and the King's Course at Gleneagles. The qualifying round at Reay was hard work with a CSS of 71, a poor 5 birdies on the day and the 7th playing the hardest. The easiest hole was the third.

David O'Brien made a nice birdie two at the short fifth, and Jerry Abbot was in fine form with a birdie at the sixteenth. David Dunbar shot a pair of birdies in a great start at the first and the third but only managed 31 points.

Grant Maxwell (8) and David Mackay (8) shared third place on 33 points with David relegated to fourth on the countback. Kenny Farmer (14) had a good attempt with a fine birdie at the 10th and produced a total of 35 points for the runner up spot. The runaway winner was Ian Mackintosh (26) with a superb round and 37 points which equates to a one under par round. Ian now goes forward to represent Reay GC at the Regional qualifiers and the chance to get to the final and play at Scotscraig and Gleneagles.
