Golf Finance Bogey - 23 July 06
A bogey competition is always different and the scoring means you can't no return, you just lose the hole. Conditions were good and with a CSS of 68 it was disappointing to have only two birdies. No surprise to find the 7th the hardest hole and the fifth came out as the easiest. Ian Ross in his first round for a while ended up three down but canned a good putt at the 14th for a quality birdie. Tom Sinclair basking in the glory of having just won the July Medal was one up on the course and celebrated with a birdie at the 16th. John Disbury finished 2up on the course after grafting his way round with a very good effort. Making a rare appearance on the Links was Davie Swanson and putting in a good round to return a score of 4up to take third place and a wee chop in his handicap. George Robertson blowing hot and cold at the moment was on a hot streak as he edged out Davie on the countback to take second place also 4 up on the course. Coming into form after a lean score and lamenting he hadn't won for a while Sandy Chisholm won comfortably 5up to pick up his third trophy in as many weeks. End-of-Document |
