Jack is best in the wind

Jack Johnstone beat the odds to win the Rotary Open with 39 Stableford points on a very windy day, in a well supported field.

Jim Swan returned to winning ways with 37 points, two ahead of a group of players with 35.

After the totals were tallied up, Peter O'Hare, Michael Henderson and Alistair Bell finished second, third and fourth - respectively, with Reay's David Mackay being the unlucky one.

Higher handicap winner was George Todd (33 points), David Irvine (32) and Alex Mackay, Reay (31) followed on.

Angela Williamson was top lady by one point from Moira MacBeath.
