The 16 rounds of the summer cup were all played and it was a bit of a marathon. Once the dust had settled the Champion Golfer with the best 8 rounds from the 16 played was none other than John O'Brien with an aggregate of 547 averaging 68. John's best score was a 65 and worst a 71 and this really emphasises the quality golf that John plays on a regular basis. Runner up and a man never far away from contention was Bruce Mackay with an aggregate 553 with his lowest score a 64. Third place was Cammie Ross another consistent player on 559.

In Division two the top man was David O'Brien who's aggregate was 563 making it a double win for the O'Brien brothers. Willie Williamson was second with 576 and third was Ian Mackintosh on 597. It's clear the men from the West know how to score regularly well and there was only one City Gent spoiling the party making the boys from the West the strong favourites for the Split Stone Challenge later in the year.
