Summer Cup Round 1 - 02 May 06
Andy & Ian battle best against wind

This was a day when only the brave or the foolish ventured out; it certainly was not a day for good golf, nevertheless a few worthies made it into the fray. The CSS was a high 72 and the stats showed no birdies which was not a surprise with the 10th hole playing the hardest and the 13th the easiest.

The lowest gross in Division 2 was 89 shared by Ian Sutherland and Ian Ross and scoring was more than tough. In third place was George MacDonald on 99-21-78 and in second was Vice Captain, Ian Ross managing 89-13-76. The best nett score of the day in either Division went to the sprightly Ian Sutherland who carded 89-19-70 a clear winner by six shots wondering what all the fuss was about a bit of wind.

In Division One three shared the best scratch score of 86 and they were Andy Mackay, Steve Efemey and Ian Ritchie. Finishing up with 86-10-76 was Steve Efemey to take third place. After the countback was evoked Murdo MacDonald with 87-12-75 was second and winning Division One with 86-11-75 was Andy Mackay.

Most would just prefer to forget the round and there is always another day.
