Grant birdies his way to the top

Round 14 was decimated by the weather and the CSS was out to 71 so conditions were tough. In Division two there were only two completing a full round and they were George Robertson in second with 95-22-73 and David O'Brien with the lowest gross of 93 cementing his grasp on the race for the trophy. Davis was round in 93-21-72.

In Division one there was a birdie for John O'Brien at the 3rd and fourth place on 83-5-78. Young Gavin Sutherland now qualified in the final of the Club Championship on Friday night takes third place on 79-5-74. Bruce Mackay 80-8-72 with a birdie two at the short 15th smartened up his card to take second slot. The winner of round 14 was Grant Maxwell with the lowest gross of 78 and a determined and workmanlike performance making birdies at the 9th and 16th to shoot 78-9-69 to defy the conditions.
