Grant birdies his way to the top

The Summer Cup is nearing its completion and the thought of the winter season starting soon is now quite scary. The summer seems to have disappeared rather rapidly. The stats showed up 7 birdies with the 11^th the hardest hole and the 14^th the easiest hole.

In Division Two the only birdie came from John Disbury taking third place with 91-21-70 with the birdie at the 14^th. Bill McIntosh had the lowest gross of 84 and was second with 84-17-67. George Robertson in fine form and rapidly whittling down his handicap took top spot with a cracking 88-22-66 giving him a new handicap of 20.

In Division One it was birdie time for Bruce Mackay at the fourth. Three players shared the honours for the lowest gross namely John Nicolson, John O'Brien and Gavin Sutherland all getting round in 76. John O'Brien was also on the birdie trail with putts falling at the 11^th and the 12^th for 76-5-71.

Third place went to John Nicolson 76-6-70 and with a birdie at the 16^th Colin Stewart snatched second place with 82-12-70 on the countback. Winning Division One was Grant Maxwell with birdies at the 9^th and the 13^th shooting 77-8-69 another very good steady par round.
