Les returns with good score

The Final Round of the Summer Cup saw 10 birdies with the fourth playing the hardest and the 5^th the easiest and with the conditions good the CSS was 68.

No birdies amongst the Division two golfers but some good scoring nevertheless. David O'Brien was third with 91-21-70. With the lowest gross of 80 Les Patrick made a welcome return to form to take second with 80-13-67 a very good steady round. Colin Struthers had a great round with 86-19-66 to be the top dog and earns a wee cut in his handicap.

Grant Maxwell is still searching for that elusive score and returned a pair of birdies at the 14^th and the 17^th in a strong finish. John O'Brien and Evan Sutherland both made birdie at the 14^th and Donald Mowat had a nice two at the 15^th. Not to be left out was Lee Parnell slotting a birdie home at the 3^rd.

Three tied for 3^rd place on nett 68 with the countback in favour of Cammie Ross 78-10-68 which included a birdie two at the 15^th. Colin Stewart in a rich vein of good form just now shot 79-11-68 with a birdie two at the 18^th. The third musketeer was David Gray on 80-12-68.

Bruce Mackay so often in the frame made a two at the 5^th for 75-8-67 and took second place. The lowest gross went to David Mackay with a 73 and with a nice birdie at the 6^th returned figures of 73-7-66.
