Summer Cup three was more like the winter league with poor weather and quite cold with the sensible staying at home. Nevertheless a few brave souls ventured out and produced 9 birdies with a CSS of 69 which was good in the conditions. Once again the seventh was the most troublesome and again the thirteenth was the easiest giving up four birdies.

In Division one Lee Parnell was again rattling in the birdies at the 4^th, 13^th and the 14^th but was unable to be in contention with a couple of untidy holes. Lee is definitely the man to rely on for birdies at the moment and in great form with the second round of Club Championship qualifiers on Saturday. John Nicolson despite a nil return made birdie at the 13^th. John O'Brien lurking in the wings made a birdie two at the short fifth and it's only a matter of time till John makes a big score.

The Lowest gross went to Alistair Gunn with 77-6-71 as he had a good warm up before representing the Club in the Northern Counties Seniors Team at Brora. Alistair took third place in Division one. With a birdie at the 17^th Cammie Ross 79-9-70 had to settle for second on the countback. David Mackay with 78-8-70 and a birdie at the 13^th took first and the top sweep money.

The best score of the day went to Chris Hobson firing in a great putt at the 15^th for a birdie two and the lowest gross in division two of 81. Chris shot 81-13-68 to show everybody how it's done. Second was new member David J.Mowat 102-26-76 and in third was club stalwart Willie Williamson with 99-21-78.
