Grant & Colin combine well for more silverware

The Hi - Lo Foursomes were played on Sunday in a howling gale and everybody who turned up was a winner. Conditions were extremely difficult and this was reflected in the scoring which was quite high. There was only one birdie scored and a terrific eagle. The Eagle came from a massive drive from Donald Mowat on the 14th to the top of the hill, Pete McCartney took it up to just short of the fairway bunker and Mojo clattered the chip straight into the hole. Team effort and it was a wonderful Eagle to compete with the Eagles in Augusta but in colder windier conditions.

In third place were Willie Williamson and Richard McDonald who combined well to make a birdie two on the 5th hole. Richard and Willie battled round in a score of 90-13-77. In second place with 91-15-76 was the team of John Disbury and Steve Efemey also struggling in the wind and both played from some very unfamiliar places on the course.

The winning team was that of Grant Maxwell and Colin Stewart returning figures of 84-11-73 giving Grant his second piece of Silverware in a week. This was a very good effort and both combined well to keep big scores of the card.
