Hat trick of birdies wins Bob title

This is an exclusive trophy at Reay and an exclusive club to join. You only play here if you have earned your grey hair and it is very competitive. The CSS was 68; there were 6 birdies with the second hole the hardest par and the 9th hole the easiest par.

The Competition was played in the Stableford format. Bill Vivers made a very rare appearance this year and remembered his way round making a fine birdie at the tricky 16th hole for a grand total of 31 points and fourth place. Third went to Ian Ritchie with 34 points. Evan Sutherland made a fine par round of 36 points to take second spot and had birdies at the 6th and the 8th in a strong front nine. The winner was Bob Earnshaw on 39 points with a hat trick of birdies which included two 2's at the 7th and the 9th with the third birdie at the 13th which certainly was not unlucky for Bob.

The Retired Members cup for 2007 goes to Bob Earnshaw and the Chris Hobson Trophy for the best player over 65 goes to Ian Ritchie.
