Summer Cup Round four was quite a torrid affair but three managed to tame the conditions. The CSS was out at 71 underlining the difficulty of the conditions. In Division two Club Captain Ian Ross made birdie at the 14^th but surrendered at the 17^th which claimed a lot of scalps on the day. Danny O'Hagan who rarely misses a fairway came in third with figures of 95-15-80. The Lowest gross of 92 was shared by Willie Williamson and Tom Sinclair. Tom Sinclair with 92-18-74 was second and Willie Williamson claimed pole with 92-20-72 for a brave battling performance.

In Division 1, Lee Parnell shot a trio of birdies at the 7^th, 10^th and 14^th before the course growled and Lee was another who succumbed. Pete McCartney made birdie at the 13^th but also fell foul of the course. Fred Groves and Alistair Gunn both made a two at the fifth and Donald Mowat (Mojo) had a pair of birdies at the 15^th and the dreaded 17^th.

John O'Brien with 74-5-69 made par figures which was a tremendous effort in difficult conditions. Colin Paterson and Grant Maxwell were the star attraction both shooting a nett 66 and the count back had to be brought in to separate them. Colin Paterson had the satisfaction of the lowest gross of 70 with birdies at the 3^rd and 13^th in his round of 70-4-66 and had to settle for second. The winner was Grant Maxwell with birdies at the 11^th and the 15^th for a two returning a very tidy card of 74-8-66.
