The Reay Medal was competed on Saturday in variable weather conditions.

The conditions from Wednesday's rain and the damper early morning conditions appear to have favoured the Division 1 players where no fewer than 10 players scored par or better and 11 birdies.  This form resulting for the first time this season a CSS below the course SSS.

With the second lowest score of 67 being attained by 4 players the countback has again been used to decide the places. In 3rd was Sandy Chisholm 79(12)67 just behind Donald Mowat 76(9)67 but out on his own was John O'Brien 72(6)66.

Countback was also required in Division 2 to decide 2nd and 3rd places.

In 3rd was Andy Bain 83(14)69, losing out to Alan Paul 82(13)69.  First place was one shot lower and taken by George Prince 82(14)68.
