Duck wins with plenty to spare

One of the rules of golf is that a player may only take 14 clubs out with him on any given round. However, last week Reay members were asked to cast 11 of their bats to the wind and take on the course with just the 3 hitting sticks.

This obviously proved to much of a distraction for near on half the field, who concentrated so intently on their club selection that they forgot to sign their cards or record their handicap on their cards. Disqualifications were in abundance!

In third place with a creditable 31 points was young Ewan Crawford. In second place, going one better than his medal performance, was Wayne Mowat with 32 points. And winner of the 3 Club Stableford was Liam Bremner.

No stranger to silverware last year Liam has kick-started his winter golfing season with yet another win, with a fantastic score of 34 points. I shall have to enquire which Clubs Liam used as 34 points would have been a good score for me with a full compliment of clubs!
