Captain, Bob Parsonage and his vice-captain Pat Valentine were joined by 32 hardy members for the traditional opening of the season match between the two at Thurso Golf Club on Saturday. The match, restricted to thirteen holes, featured several flurries of snow, and an honourable draw was declared over hot soup and a warming dram afterwards.
