Mens Tournaments - Season 2008-2009

Stableford 6 - 06 May 08
Organiser Jim has better inward nine...

The sixth round of the EGGS Summer Stableford was won by competition organiser, Jim Buchan who beat Ron Ritchie on the inward nine, both recording 36 points. Jim Johnston was next on 35 points with Doug McCowan, who has the best four round total so far, a shot further away.

Stableford 5 - 29 April 08
Ian continues form in Summer EGGS...

Ian Manson, winner of the EGGS Winter Eclectic, has obviously carried some of his form into the Summer Stableford as he won the fifth round with 37 points on Tuesday. He had a par at the seventeenth to thank for his win as the count back with Jim Johnston, who also had 37 points, came down to the best score over the last two holes with Manson having four points to Johnston's three. Gary Henderson, with a fine back nine of 20 points, was next best on 36 points, one ahead of David Warren who wilted somewhat after a 22 point outward nine.

Stableford 4 - 22 April 08
Pars & Birdies help McCowan win...

McCowan carried Saturday's good form into Tuesday's fourth round of the EGGS Summer Stableford and this time his 36 point total was good enough to win from the 24 strong field. The highlights of Tuesday's round were a birdie three at the tenth and pars on all of the final three holes-great stuff! Gordon Bailey, George Mitchell and Gary Henderson all finished two points behind the winner.

Stableford 1 - 01 April 08
Donald is cool after the sun...

Tuesday was a lovely day for golf - no kidding!

There was nothing foolish about much of the scoring either as Donald Jack, fresh from a bit of Mediterranean sunshine, won the first round of the EGGS Summer Stableford with a fine round of gross 72 for 38 points. He needed to be in such good form as Ron Ritchie, Gary Henderson and Bob Black all finished just a point behind.
