Summer League 19 - 27&28 August 08
Kennedy wins on Wednesday with 38 points...

Windy conditions made points hard to come by in the penultimate round of Thurso Golf Club's Summer League last week and ensured that there would not be many changes on the leader board going in to this week's final round.

Alan Kennedy was the winner on Wednesday with 38 points, one ahead of Scott Macdonald, Ronnie Matheson and John Morrison who finished in that order after the application of count back. Matheson's round provided him with a five point improvement to his best eight round aggregate and a share of sixth place in the league with Ian Macphee and Allyn Sutherland.

Mark Mackay, Ewan Mackenzie and Trevor Henderson were next best with 35 points.

Count back was required to decide the winner on Thursday with Clark Grant getting the nod over Mark Parsonage after both returned 37 points.

Michael Forbes was alone on 36 points to claim third place ahead of Jim Hawthorn who got the rest of the sweep money on count back from Steven Osborne after both scored 35 points.

Parsonage became the league leader having improved by four points and has a total of 308, three clear of the field.

Alan Swanson (306), Graham Harness(305), Stephen Fidler (303) and Andy Macgregor (302) make up the top five.
