Summer Cup & Strokeplay Championship - Season 2008-2009
Summer League 3 - 07&08 May 08 Fine weather promoted fine scoring in this week's rounds of the Summer League with the top return belonging to Trevor Henderson, in winning the Wednesday session. Henderson, a member of Thurso's Fire Brigade, certainly set the course alight with a sparkling round that earned 40 Stableford points, three ahead of Keith Dreaves in second place with 37 points. Alan Mackay, Nicky Doherty and Peter Sangster finished third, fourth and fifth respectively after countback of their 36 point rounds. Gordon Morris and Stephen Lowe went unrewarded after also scoring 36 points. Thursday's countback was to settle first place with Mark Parsonage, Andrew Mackay and Ian Boyd finishing in that order after all returned 39 points. Stephen Spargo and Alan Swanson, both single figure handicap players, finished next on 38 points, one better than Jimmy Manson. At this early stage of the competition Douglas Mackenzie has the best three round aggregate of 108, one ahead of Andrew Mackay. End-of-Document |
