Visibility may have been a problem at Thurso Golf Club on Saturday morning but it was very clear that members were keen to get the summer season underway as 48 of them took part in the traditional Captain v Vice Captain match after Captain Pat Valentine drove himself into office.

The match was declared an honourable draw.
