Trevor wins his second trophy

The weather was disappointing for much of Sunday with rain keeping the number of competitors down for the Gala Open sponsored by We Frame It. In fact conditions were fairly demanding with the Competition Standard Scratch up by three shots and a good number of cards not returned.

None of that bothered the bold Trevor though as he made light of a two shot handicap cut to shoot a nett 69 to win by two shots from Stephen Williamson and Sid Campbell.

Stephen Fidler, nett 72, and Donald Jack , nett 73, were second and third behind Henderson in the lower handicap category and Ali Simpson and Jack McCracken likewise behind Campbell in the higher handicap category, both scoring nett 72.

Williamson, the only player to break 80, was rewarded with first place in the scratch section.
