Old bhoys win triples trophy

Unlike the quiz show, teams could not get rid of the weakest link in Sunday's Pentland Open sponsored by the Pentland Hotel.

The scores of all three team members had to be included. It has to be said that scores were not as good as most years with two teams returning 102 points, the winning team being decided by the best individual score.

That honour belonged to Lenny Murray who should have been suitably rewarded for his 41 point effort by team mates Ronnie Gray and Clark Grant.

Ali Simpson with 37 points was top scorer in the second placed team that also contained Harvey Cowe and Bryan Ronald.

Greg McEwan concluded a satisfactory week by winning the best individual award with 41 points.
