Terry cruises to lifeboat win

There was no let up in the poor weather conditions the following day for the RNLI Open, sponsored by Pennyland Service Station, resulting in a low entry and the standard scratch going up by a couple of shots.

Relieved of his sponsor's responsibilities of the previous day, Terry Mackay was an emphatic winner with a fine round of nett 67 to win by two shots from regular visitor Michael McAllan from the Wick club.

A group of five players, Sandy Chisholm and Grant Maxwell, both Reay, Charlie Burness, Gavin Souter and Donald Sutherland all scored nett 72 with Chisholm earning third place on count back.
