Two-in-a-row for Adrian

Bryan Ronald is setting a very high standard in the Newsbeat Summer League at Thurso Golf Club. Ronald, the long time leader in the competition, equalled his best score so far with a superb 41 point effort that won him first place in last week's Wednesday session to get his best nine round total to 338 points, seven ahead of Nicky Doherty who has also been in impressive form in the League.

Wednesday's winner had to be in such good form to beat off the challenge of Malcolm Morrison and Jack McCracken who were only a point behind.

Ali Simpson was in the money too, beating Michael Forbes on count back for fourth place after both scored 39 points, beating Doherty by a point.

Adrian Williams made it two league wins in a row with a 41 point effort in the Thursday session that was two clear of Stephen Spargo.

Alan Swanson's level par inward nine earned him third place from a group of seven players who scored 37 points.
