Morrison and McLeod also featured in the prize list on Sunday when the Bert Brownlee Open, sponsored by the Weigh Inn, was contested.

Morrison enlisted the support of Jason Simpson for this better ball pairs event and they teamed up very well for a winning nett 61. Out in 31, helped by a Morrison birdie at the seventh, they came home in 30 with Simpson weighing in with birdies at the twelfth and thirteenth holes.

Regular visitors from Reay, David Mackay and Grant Maxwell, were in fine form. They compensated for a dropped shot at the third with birdies at the sixth and seventh holes to be out in 32. Two more birdies were to follow at the thirteenth and last holes and their fine nett 62 earned second place from McLeod and Stephen Bremner who lost out on count back after they also returned a nett 62.
