Mens Tournaments - Season 2010-2011
JGC Open - 13 June 10

Reay's Murray McGlasson was the main man in Sunday's JGC Open sponsored by Harpsdale based JGC Engineering and Technical Services. He scored a three over par gross 72, nett 64, to head the field and claim the JGC Trophy and first scratch award.
The winner was three over par after three holes with a double bogey at the third but sorted that out with birdies at the seventh and eighth to be out in 36, one over par. Another birdie was added at the tenth hole as he scored 36 for his inward nine as well.
Alan Swanson finished three shots behind McGlasson to claim the second scratch award.
Ian McPhee had no birdies in his round but steady play resulted in a nett 67 that won him first place in the lower handicap category.
Angus Cameron's inward nine won him second place on count back from Michael MacGregor after both returned nett 69 as did Wick's James Howden and Reay's Steve Efemey.
Keith Dreaves was lamenting three putting the eighteenth in a fine nett 65 that was to cost him a trophy win. He did have the consolation of winning first place in the higher handicap category by three shots from Kevin Morris from the home club and Reay's Peter McCartney. Morris was a comfortable winner on count back as McCartney failed to capitalise on a splendid outward nine of only one over par that contained birdies at the second and eighth holes.
